Wamboin Community Association
The Wamboin Community Association is a group of residents who act on behalf of the Wamboin community. Our task is to unite the Wamboin community. We organize community activities such as the bonfire night, the Wamboin Whisper (our local newsletter), Christmas carols, produce markets, Clean Up Australia days and even the chalkboard at the entrance to Wamboin. We provide Meet and Greet information for newcomers to our area. To achieve our aims we need the support of residents.
Annual Events
We participate in Clean Up Australia Day on the first Sunday in March.
In August there is a Wamboin Curry Night at the Hall. Attendees bring a curry, which is shared. Tables and chairs are supplied. Otherwise, it is ‘bring your own everything'. This is a very popular night.
We have a bonfire and fireworks night on the third Saturday in September with the local groups running various food and drink stalls.
There is a carol night/Christmas party in December.
Meetings
The Wamboin Community Association meets on the third Tuesday of the month (except January), at 7.30 pm, in the Community Hall located at 112 Bingley Way, Wamboin. Residents, visitors or anyone interested in the Wamboin community are welcome.
